The Lew's BB1 Speed Spool in left-hand configuration is a baitcasting reel built around a one-piece aluminium frame with graphite sideplates. Its machined, forged, double-anodised aluminium U-shaped spool measures 35mm and is designed for large capacity. The reel runs a premium 10-bearing system using double-shielded ball bearings with multi-stop anti-reverse, and power is transmitted through high-strength solid brass Speed Gears cut on precision Hamai CNC machines.
