The Lew's Super Duty 300 Speed Spool is a right-hand baitcast reel built around a one-piece aluminium frame and handle-side sideplate. Its 7-bearing system combines stainless steel double-shielded bearings with a Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing, and the ZRXtra system pairs Zero Reverse with a backup multi-stop gear. Casting control comes from the externally adjustable Multi-Setting Brake (MSB) dual cast control system, which uses an external click-dial to set the magnetic brake plus four individually disengaging, disc-mounted internal brake shoes that operate centrifugally. The braid-ready, forged, double anodized, deep capacity aluminium spool is matched with high strength solid brass Speed Gears cut on precision Hamai CNC machines. Spool tension is set by a double anodized aluminium adjustment with an audible click. Drag duties fall to a rugged carbon fibre drag system providing up to 24lbs of drag power, controlled by an audible click, bowed, double anodized aluminium star drag. The reel is finished with a bowed, heavy duty 100mm aluminium handle with Winn Dri-Tac knobs and a Combat Grip thumb.
