Description

The Zziplex M4 GT is a 13′ 4″ surfcasting rod rated for casting weights of 100g to 225g. It is one of Zziplex's best-selling models, and its design centres on the blend of a high-tenacity carbon fibre blank with an integrated glass fibre tip. That combination gives the rod a forgiving, easy-loading action: the sensitive upper third registers even the smallest bites, while the butt section holds substantial power in reserve. The result is a rod that compresses smoothly through the cast and recovers sharply, suiting everything from heavy winter seas to calmer summer conditions. - Length: 13′ 4″ - Casting Ratio: 100g – 225g - Sections: Equal Section 50:50 - Butt Diameter: 22mm - Guides: AT Titanium K Guides (Multiplier or Fixed Spool) - Blank Colour: Jet Black - Handle: Japanese Shrink Rubber (JSR) with Separator Grips - Reel Seat: CNC Machined Fuji DPS Sliding Seat with EVA Caps - Joint: CNC Machined Reverse Fit The glass and carbon interface is what defines the M4 GT's character. Rather than the ultra-stiff action of a tournament rod, it loads easily for anglers of all skill levels, which makes it comfortable over long sessions. That versatile backbone suits clean beaches, medium-rough ground and technical rock marks alike — it has the power to steer a good fish through kelp while still showing a whiting rattle at 100 yards. Factory finish is to a high technical standard, with a marine grade serial-numbered etched stainless steel trim band on the blank. The guides are wrapped in Midnight Black with metallic blue underlays and red tips. Because the rod is fitted with AT Titanium K Guides, it can be set up for either a multiplier or a fixed spool reel, and the sliding Fuji DPS reel seat lets you position the casting trigger point to suit your own style. On casting technique, the carbon and glass blend means the M4 GT does not need to be hit with explosive force to achieve distance. A smooth, progressive casting arc lets the glass tip pull the power into the carbon mid-section, so the rod does the work for you. This easy-loading characteristic is particularly useful for long-distance fishing in rough weather when timing is not perfect. The reverse fit joint is a precision CNC-machined connection designed to give seamless power transfer between the two sections. It removes the flat spot often found in two-piece rods, so the M4 GT behaves like a single, unbroken lever through the cast. Despite its power reserves, the glass tip keeps the rod sensitive enough to stay enjoyable when targeting smaller species, making it a genuine all-rounder for many anglers. To care for the Japanese Shrink Rubber handle, rinse it with fresh water after every session to remove salt and grit. JSR is durable and offers excellent grip when wet. If the sliding reel seat becomes stiff, a small drop of silicone spray on the track will keep it moving smoothly.
