Akios Creed GP420 Rod

Description

The Akios Creed GP420 is a 13ft 10in beachcaster designed for anglers targeting big fish who want power without sacrificing feel. Developed over an 18-month period with input from specimen hunter Gareth Griffiths and casting coach Jay Pickup, the rod aims to handle extreme conditions, cast large baits, and subdue big fish while still offering clear bite registration and sensitivity through the blank. Under load, the high modulus carbon blank shows a J-curve action, with power in the butt and mid sections and a responsive tip that recovers quickly for smooth casting of heavy weights. It is built to cope with rough ground, kelp, and strong tidal rock marks, providing enough backbone to pull through snags while the tip flexes to keep the lead pinned in flowing water. The rod is fitted with quality components throughout, including Fuji anti-tangle gunsmoke KWAG guides, a Fuji sliding screw lock reel seat with EVA collars, and metal band reinforced spigots with shrink wrap joints. It comes supplied with a carbon reducer and a heavy-duty partitioned nylon rod case. - Powerful High Modulus Carbon Blank Construction for Casting Big Baits and Taming Big Fish - Carbon Tip with Excellent Bite Registration and Lightning-Fast Recovery - Fuji Anti-Tangle Gunsmoke KWAG Alconite Guides Configured for both Fixed Spool and Multiplier - Fuji Sliding Screw Lock Reel Seat - EVA Reel Seat Collars to Prevent Particle Ingress - Japanese Shrink Rubber Butt Section - Metal Band Reinforced Spigots for Added Strength - Shrink Wrap Joints for Easy Section Separation - Supplied with Akios Carbon Reducer - Supplied with a Heavy Duty 320d Nylon Akios Partitioned Rod Case with Shoulder Strap - Rod Length: 4.20m / 13ft 10in - Butt Diameter: 25mm - Casting Weight: 122-224g (4–8oz) - Rod Weight: 865gm
