The PENN Tidal XT 14ft Surf Rod and Reel Combo pairs a Tidal XT Beach Caster rod with a Rival Gold longcast reel, built for surfcasting with either a fixed spool or multiplier reel. The rod is part of PENN's Tidal Surfcasting Concept and is fitted with saltwater-proof Fuji Alconite deep pressed frame guides. Its blank uses a mixture of high modulus 36/40T carbon, giving a lightweight, responsive and very slim build, while Carbon X-Wrap technology adds strength and reduces twisting for improved casting accuracy and control.
