Description

The Rocket Reel TG-F1 MK-5 is a British-made casting and fishing reel built to tournament class, with 95% of its components manufactured in England. It uses chromed brass end plates and A316 marine grade stainless steel throughout its stainless components. The reel combines Mono-Mag and centrifugal braking systems, with a one-piece chromed brass brake plate featuring an integral brake drum and a screw fitting in the drive shaft pillar. A stainless steel main gear runs with a hardened bronze pinion gear, and the drive shaft assembly has a ball bearing recessed into its base plus a raised shim designed to run on the inner race for a smooth retrieve. The dynamically balanced lightweight spool has a widened rim to help eliminate line trap and an upgraded, shortened spindle to reduce spindle flex. The Mono-Mag end plate includes a built-in Speed Bush to centre the spool precisely within the cage, and the genuine one-piece low-profile cage has a raised profile for a tighter end plate fit. Hybrid ceramic ABEC 7 bearings with silicon nitride balls are fitted, along with an Eezy-Grip Mono-Mag knob, end cap and end plate screws. The polished stainless steel handle has two ball bearings in each knob, and there is a polished stainless steel micro star drag wheel.
