The Avet SXJ 5.3 G2 Magic Cast is the narrow spool version of the standard SX model, offering easier line lay and reduced crank wobble for high speed retrieving applications such as jigging. Its Magic Cast control is an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash system that is easy to use with both light and heavy leads and lures. Place your thumb on the spool to cast, swing your thumb away and let it fly, only thumbing the spool again when the lure hits the water. The reel is precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminium and stainless steel components and anodised for superior corrosion resistance and a durable finish. The frame is CNC machined from a single block of alloy for a true one-piece structure that is lightweight and strong. The lever drag has an adjustable strike pre-set, giving full control of the carbon fibre drag system, while the sealed bearings and the patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse keep the reel performing under load. The machined off-set handle reduces centreline drag and crank wobble, and the handle knob has a comfortable soft touch finish.
