The Avet SX 5.3 G2 Magic Cast is the standard SX reel fitted with the Magic Cast upgrade. Magic Cast control is an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash system that works with both light and heavy leads and lures. Cast by placing your thumb on the spool, then remove your thumb and let it fly, only thumbing the spool again as the lure hits the water. The reel is precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminium and stainless steel components, and anodised for corrosion resistance and a durable finish. The frame is CNC machined from a single block of alloy, giving a true one-piece structure that is both lightweight and strong. A powerful lever drag with adjustable strike pre-set gives full control of the carbon fibre drag system, while eight sealed bearings and the patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse keep the reel performing under load. The machined offset handle reduces centreline drag and crank wobble, and the reel is supplied with a soft touch handle knob.
