Century ADV-1 Advanced One Carp Rod

Description

The Century ADV-1 (Advanced One) is a 12ft carp rod classified as a multi range model, made in two prime test curves of 3.25lb and 3.50lb. Between them, these cover the majority of UK venues and will also serve as a guest rod on most Continental waters. The rod is well balanced and feels light in hand, a result of the carbon fibres used internally and the lightweight carbon 1k-1k reel seat with matching carbon spacers. The handle is full length Japanese shrink rubber, finished with a Century engraved black aluminium butt cap. The butt section and lower tip section have a matt 1k-1k carbon surface with a PTFE and silicone protective sealant, and the rod is fitted with Century SiC size 50 guides tied in jet black thread. Century selected the best raw materials to balance the requirements for performance, low weight and diameter. The architecture of the blank combines machine cut cross ply 35gsm carbon, intermediate and high modulus carbon, and a woven 1k-1k outer sheath. The carbon patterns are optimised to generate a classic mid to tip action that assists in super smooth casts and effortless playability. The rod is subject to Century's unique Autoclave Technology for action retention and incorporates ATT (Anti Twist Technology) to aid directional accuracy and distance. The ADV-1 is constructed in the UK at Century's factory in Washington using advanced rod building machinery and in conformance with certified quality and environmental systems.
