The Westin W8 Dropshot 2nd Generation is a 7'6" medium-light dropshot rod built for boat fishing, kayak angling and urban street fishing, where accuracy and manoeuvrability matter most. At 2.28m it gives superb tip control for working a dropshot rig vertically or with subtle movement, and the 4–21g rating covers the range of dropshot weights and softbait sizes typically used for wary perch, zander and chub. The blank is built from Toray TORAYCA T1100GC and M40JB carbon, which delivers a high level of sensitivity and refinement. The super-light tip section transmits subtle vibrations, so you can feel every stone, weed strand and the faintest tap of a cautious fish.
