The Avet JX Raptor is the top of the JX range, built with a drag capacity nearly double that of a standard Avet reel. It is precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminium and stainless steel components, then anodized for corrosion resistance and a durable finish. The drag lever is adjustable, giving full control over the patented dual direct drive full surface caliper brake system. Eight sealed bearings, along with the dog gear and anti-reverse system, keep the reel running smoothly under load. Two-speed gear changes are managed by a push button in the handle, while the adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system offers a full range of settings to cover different casting applications. In some circumstances, particularly when these reels are to be used primarily for jigging, it is better not to have the Magic Cast function. Deleting Magic Cast allows the spool to spin faster, letting your jig reach the strike zone more quickly and efficiently. A No Magic Cast version is available for anglers who want the reel primarily for jigging.
