The Penn Regiment IV Uptide rod is built on the proven short butt and long tip format, which gives a very smooth action. It uses SLS3 blank assembly, producing a low weight, thin diameter blank with considerable strength. The tip has just the right amount of give to sit nicely in the tide while still registering small bites as well as slack liners. It blends seamlessly into the mid and butt sections to give a fast but progressive action, applying more power the harder a fish pulls.
