Description

The Shimano Catana RC is a rear-drag spinning reel built for general freshwater fishing. It suits young, new and inexperienced anglers, offering a straightforward starting point for anyone wanting a freshwater spinning reel at an affordable price. It covers a wide range of fishing, from lightweight and medium sized lures through to match and feeder fishing, and the easy to adjust rear drag design makes it simple to use for those still learning. The reel runs on 2 shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus a roller bearing. Its Cold Forged Aluminium Spool uses AR-C line management and is suitable for both mono and braid, while Varispeed line lay prevents fine mono and braid from bedding in under pressure. The body is made from Shimano's XT-7 composite, which is lightweight yet strong enough to cope with unexpected shocks and mishandling.
