Description

The Okuma Altera is a spinning reel built around Okuma's latest body design, combining a modern look with the strength and function expected from a general-purpose reel. It is aimed at anglers who want a dependable, easy-to-use setup, and it suits beginners particularly well. The reel runs on three stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing, and uses Okuma's Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology. The Cyclonic Flow Rotor creates a "cyclonic" airflow that significantly increases the air moving around the rotor, allowing a much faster drying time if the reel gets wet and minimising the chance of corrosion developing inside it. The Quick-Set infinite anti-reverse system engages the reel in one direction for rock-solid hook sets, while the Even Flow Roller System reduces line twists by letting the line roll freely over the line roller without friction.
