The Sunset Jet Attack Power Surf Rod is a 14ft (4.20m) surfcasting rod built for anglers who need maximum performance in demanding conditions without a premium price tag. It is aimed at those targeting hard-fighting species such as smoothhound and rays when the tide is running hard. The rod is built on a 24T carbon tapered blank, which combines casting distance with pulling power. Its three-section design uses a reinforced put-in joint, so the blank's integrity holds up under the pressure of a 6oz lead and a big bait. FUJI KW "O" RING anti-tangle guides are fitted throughout, designed to eliminate wind knots and make the rod well suited to modern braided lines. A phosphorescent tip helps you spot bites in the dark, whether you are fishing a stormy winter night or a fast-running summer tide. The Jet Attack is designed primarily for fixed spool reels, given the guide spacing and the tubular reel seat configuration. The anti-tangle Fuji guides also make it forgiving for those still perfecting their casting technique. For best results, pair it with a fixed spool reel loaded with 30lb to 50lb braid and a tapered mono leader. To charge the phosphorescent tip, shine a headlamp on it for a few seconds and the paint will hold the glow.
