Shimano Expride Spinning Rod

Description

The Shimano Expride is a lure rod range that sits directly beneath the Poison Adrena in Shimano's line-up in terms of technology. Originally developed as a bass rod, it is built for sensitivity and responsive feel, and is available in light, medium and large lure ratings with either spinning or baitcasting reel configurations. Each model comes in two configurations: a 1+1 option (one piece with detachable handle) and a 2-piece option with equal length sections. The sensitivity of the Expride comes from two Shimano technologies. The High Modulus Full Carbon blanks are built using Hi-Power X technology, which reduces blank twist when casting and playing fish for a very responsive feel. A Carbon Monocoque handle transfers more information from the blank to your hand, giving a clearer picture of what is happening to your lure underwater. The rod is fitted with Fuji SiC guides and a lightweight Shimano Ci4+ reel seat to suit either spinning or baitcasting reels. The blank has a classic gloss black finish with a cork front grip. The 1+1 models use a one piece main section with a seamless fast action, giving directness and forgiveness in equal quantities, while the traditional 2-piece options offer a more convenient transport solution and are almost indistinguishable from the 1+1 action when assembled.
