Description

The Sonik HEROX Rod and Reel Combo pairs a 13ft 3.5lb HEROX carp rod with a HEROX 8000 carp reel, aimed at anglers who need distance capability and the power to handle big fish. The HEROX 8000 reel is a large-capacity model built for carp and specialist fishing across a range of conditions. It uses an ultra-smooth wormshaft transmission, and the Heli Coil gearing gives an ultra-flat line bed for smooth casting and consistent line lay. The body and rotor are constructed from lightweight graphite, with a floating rotor line guard that helps prevent tangles. The reel has a matt black finish, a black CNC anodised aluminium handle with a dark wood barrel, and a spool fitted with two high-impact, E-Z entry spring-loaded captive line clips for accuracy when casting at distance. An oversized twist-free line roller and the ultra-smooth Quick-Torque drag system help with control when playing big fish. - 5 + 1 ball bearings - Gear ratio: 4.6:1 The 13ft 3.5lb HEROX rod is the model in the range intended for casting distances of 100m and beyond. It uses a slim, lightweight carbon blank with a progressive casting action that delivers power on the cast for multi-range performance, with enough backbone to cope with large PVA bags or method feeders and the largest carp or catfish. Super-fast tip recovery helps cushion long runs and reduce hook pulls at the landing net. The rod is fitted with super light M-Series DL black guides throughout and a 17mm black DPD reel seat that will house even the largest big pit reels. Finishing details include discrete HEROX green tipping, a slim Japanese shrink wrap butt grip with handle flare, and a black anodised butt cap laser etched with the Sonik S logo. A line-friendly custom contoured Sonik clip lets you keep the correct line angle to your bite alarm whether fishing tight lines at distance or slack lines in the margin.
