Sonik HEROX Rod & Reel Combo 12ft 3.5lb

Description

The Sonik HEROX Rod and Reel Combo pairs a 12ft 3.5lb HEROX carp rod with the HEROX 8000 carp reel, giving the carp and specialist angler a matched setup for a range of conditions. The HEROX 8000 is a large-capacity reel built on a lightweight graphite body and rotor. Its wormshaft transmission and Heli Coil gearing produce an ultra-flat line bed for smooth casting and consistent line lay, while the floating rotor line guard helps prevent tangles. The spool carries two high-impact, E-Z entry spring-loaded captive line clips for accuracy when casting at distance, and an oversized twist-free line roller. The Quick-Torque drag system aids control when playing big fish. The reel has a matt black finish and a black CNC anodised aluminium handle with a dark wood barrel. The 12ft 3.5lb HEROX rod uses a slim, lightweight carbon blank with a progressive casting action, giving multi-range performance with enough backbone for large PVA bags or method feeders and for the largest carp or catfish. Fast tip recovery helps cushion long runs and reduce hook pulls at the landing net. Super light M-Series DL black guides run throughout, and a 17mm black DPD reel seat will house even the largest big pit reels. Finishing details include discrete HEROX green tipping, a slim Japanese shrink wrap butt grip with handle flare, and a black anodised butt cap laser etched with the Sonik S logo. The line-friendly custom contoured Sonik clip lets you keep the correct line angle to your bite alarm whether fishing tight lines at distance or slack lines in the margin. The HEROX rod range covers several sizes: the 10ft models come in 3lb and 3.5lb test curves with 40mm butt rings and suit smaller carp lakes, while the 12ft rods are available in 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb and suit situations from small lakes to large gravel pits. For casting distances of 100m and beyond, the 13ft 3.5lb model is the option in the range. - HEROX 8000 reel: lightweight graphite body and rotor - Ultra-smooth wormshaft transmission - Heli Coil gearing for an ultra-flat line bed - Floating rotor line guard to help prevent tangles - Two high-impact, E-Z entry spring-loaded captive line clips - 5 + 1 ball bearings - Gear ratio: 4.6:1 - Oversized twist-free line roller - Ultra-smooth Quick-Torque drag system - Matt black finish - Black CNC anodised aluminium handle with dark wood barrel - HEROX rod: slim, lightweight carbon blank - Progressive casting action with fast tip recovery - Super light M-Series DL black guides throughout - 17mm black DPD reel seat - Discrete HEROX green tipping - Slim Japanese shrink wrap butt grip with handle flare - Black anodised butt cap laser etched with the Sonik S logo - Line-friendly custom contoured Sonik clip - 10ft models: 3lb and 3.5lb test curves with 40mm butt rings - 12ft models: 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb test curves - 13ft model: 3.5lb test curve
