The Lee's Swivel Base Heavy Duty Rod Holder is built for bent butt tackle. Its swivel base lets the rod butt rotate within the holder when side pressure is applied to the rod tip, which matters most in situations where high drag settings put tremendous force on rod holder pins. The torque needed to rotate the swivel is set by adjusting the pressure on two nylon drag washers using a 1/2 inch brass lock nut at the bottom of the rod holder. Choose extra long holders for trolling and chair rods with longer butts, and medium for shorter stand-up curved butts.
