Westin W8 Finesse Shad-T 2nd

Description

The Westin W8 Finesse Shad-T 2nd Generation is a baitcasting rod built for predator anglers who fish shads and soft plastics. It combines casting performance with sensitivity, and at 7 feet 5 inches (2.26m) it offers long casting distance from bank or boat while retaining the control needed to work soft lures effectively. The 12–38g rating suits medium-to-heavy shads, weighted swimbaits and big soft lures. The blank is made from Toray TORAYCA T1100GC and M40JB carbon, tuned to load with the weight of soft lures for long-range casts. The ultra-sensitive blank transmits every tail-kick, bottom bounce and cautious take, even at extreme range, while the Heavy power gives the backbone to set the hook and pull big fish out of cover without adding casting fatigue. The rod is fitted with FUJI components to keep weight down and function reliable. The lightweight Fuji T2C carbon reel seat uses a trigger grip for casting precision and control with a multiplier reel, and the tangle-free Fuji SIC guides minimise friction with braided line and weighted lures. Westin recommends pairing it with a size 100 or 200 Westin BaitCaster reel for balance and casting performance. - Model: W8 Finesse Shad-T 2nd Generation - Length: 7'5" (2.26m) - Casting Weight: Heavy (H) – 12–38g - Action: Fast - Sections: 2-piece - Handle: Trigger Grip (Casting Rod) - Target Species: Zander, Pike, Heavy Perch (Optimized for Softbaits) - Blank Material: Toray Torayca T1100GC and M40JB - Guides: Tangle-free Fuji SIC guides - Reel Seat: Fuji T2C Carbon - Hook-Keeper: Seaguide arc hook 2.5 - Included: Neoprene Rod Bag and Recyclable Triangular Cardboard Box - Quality: Unique serial number on each rod
