Westin W8 Vertical Jigging-T 2nd

Description

The Westin W8 Vertical Jigging-T 2nd generation is a premium baitcasting rod built for demanding predator anglers, aimed at vertical and boat casting techniques. This 6'4" XXH model handles lures from 14 to 70g and sits at the top of Westin's W8 range, where cutting-edge materials and hardware come together for power and sensitivity. The blank combines Torayca T1100GC and M40JB high-performance carbon, a pairing that delivers exceptional power alongside the superior sensitivity needed to detect the most subtle takes. Tangle-free Fuji SiC guides handle the line, with silicon carbide chosen for its heat dissipation and reduced friction — properties that suit braided lines and long-term durability. The Fuji T2C carbon reel seat keeps weight down while providing a light, comfortable and secure connection to the reel, and the rod is complemented by a size 200 Westin BaitCaster reel. A 360° custom-designed screw-down carbon hood, a Seaguide arc hook 2.5 hook-keeper for holding your lure while moving, and a hand-painted Mermagic and Iron Oxide finish on the blank and reel seat complete the build, making each rod unique. Every rod is engraved with its own serial number. - Model Name: W8 Vertical Jigging-T 2nd (Second Generation) - Length: 6'4" feet/190 cm - Casting Weight (Lure): 14–70g - Power Class: Extra Extra Heavy (XXH) - Action: Medium Fast - Sections: 1+1 sec - Transport Length: 168 cm - Rod Weight: 128g - Rod Type: Baitcasting (for use with a baitcaster reel) - Unique Feature: Includes two interchangeable handles (short and long) - Blank Material: Torayca T1100GC and M40JB high-performance carbon - Guides: Tangle-free Fuji SiC guides - Reel Seat: Fuji T2C carbon reel seat - Hood: 360° custom designed screw-down carbon hood - Hook-Keeper: Seaguide arc hook 2.5 - Aesthetics: Hand-painted Mermagic and Iron Oxide color pattern - Authentication: Unique serial number engraved on each rod - Included Accessories: Recyclable triangular cardboard box and a protective neoprene rod bag
