Description

The Avet HXW Raptor 5/2 is a two-speed lever drag reel built for use with the hollow-core superbraid lines available today. That line technology lets it target large game species with a reel roughly half the size and weight of a traditional reel built for similar monofilament line and drag capacities, while still offering very impressive drag and serious cranking power. The Raptor Series comes standard with Avet's 2-speed gears and a ratcheting drag lever with a positive stop strike button to prevent accidental advancement past strike. It uses Avet's patented DUAL DIRECT DRIVE Full Surface Caliper Brake System, which gives Raptor models nearly twice the drag pressure of the original Avets.
