The Alutecnos Albacore Two Speed 30W is a two-speed lever drag reel that builds on the design of the original One Speed model, carrying over several features not previously seen on other two-speed lever drag reels. These include the infinite anti-reverse system and a right flange machined as a single component through CNC processing. Gear changes are handled by a two-button unit, which makes shifting between speeds rapid, simple and intuitive. Like the one speed version, the reel is fitted with five protected stainless steel bearings, stainless steel gears and a drag washer made from the latest carbon composite. Together these are intended to let the reel withstand long battles while keeping braking even and powerful, winding smooth, and eliminating stick-slip. Every part is machined from a bar of special aluminium alloy developed for marine environments, using CNC processes and subject to rigorous dimensional checks. Close attention is paid to the selection of raw materials and components, all of the highest quality.
