The Daiwa J-Braid Expedition X8 is the next generation of the J-Braid line, built with a silicon coating and high-pitch weave technology for demanding fishing conditions. It takes the familiar J-Braid X8 platform and adds features aimed at durability and casting distance. The line uses a hydrophobic silicon "Coating PE" treatment that stops the braid absorbing water, silt and abrasive sediment, helping it hold up over a longer working life. Its high-pitch 8-carrier weave produces a round, tight and uniform profile, so the strands resist separation and fraying. The fibre itself is Japanese IZANAS PE, the same high-strength polyethylene used in the original J-Braid, giving a strong strength-to-diameter ratio. The slick surface and round profile cut friction through the rod guides, which translates into longer, quieter casts and better sensitivity for picking up light bites. With no stretch, the braid delivers instant power for solid hook-sets.
