The Shimano Sahara Rear Drag Reel is a mid-level rear drag model built with Shimano's characteristic quality and finished in metallic platinum and gold. It is well suited to feeder work thanks to its quick drag lever. The reel uses 3 shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus a roller bearing, and a multi-disk rear drag system for smooth, progressive performance. The Fightin'Drag gives precise adjustable control when playing fish. It features a Cold Forged Aluminium Spool with AR-C line management, suitable for both mono and braid, while Varispeed line lay prevents fine mono and braid from bedding in under pressure. The Sahara RD is available in a range of small and mid sizes from 1000 to 4000. The 4000 size is also available with a double handle. It is a versatile reel for many freshwater angling purposes, whether lure fishing for pike or match fishing for bream.
