Daiwa Crosscast Carp 5000C QD Reel

Description

The Daiwa Crosscast Carp 5000C QD is a carp reel that brings together features from earlier Crosscast models in a matt black finish. Its QD (Quick Drag) system lets you switch between a slack drag for runs and a set fighting drag with minimal effort, and infinite anti-reverse keeps contact with the fish from the moment you pick up the rod. The QD system gives a fast change from free-running to fighting drag, a practical alternative to a separate baitrunner lever. The maximum drag of 15kg (33lb) gives plenty of stopping power for big carp. A 35mm long cast spool helps line flow off smoothly on the cast, and the HIP High Impact line clip lets you clip up for accurate, repeatable distances. Twist Buster 2 and the Daiwa Airrotor help manage line twist and keep the reel light and balanced. - QD (Quick Drag) system - Infinite anti-reverse - 35mm long cast spool - HIP High Impact line clip - Twist Buster 2 - Airrotor - Machine cut aluminium handle - T-shape soft touch handle knob - Matt black finish The Daiwa Crosscast Carp 5000C QD is a carp fishing reel. The long cast spool, line clip and quick drag suit static carp fishing on lakes, gravel pits and larger waters, at medium to long range on 2.75lb to 3.5lb test curve rods. The quick drag makes it a good option for anglers who prefer fishing with a tight or slack front-style drag rather than a baitrunner. At 630g it is on the heavier side for stalking or roving with light rods.
