Shimano Big Baitrunner XT-A LC Reel Pair

Description

The Shimano Big Baitrunner XT-A LC Reel Pair offers a robust solution for carp and specimen anglers seeking reliable long-range performance. This reel is an evolution of the renowned Shimano LC Baitrunner, which established itself as a definitive big pit reel. Engineered with advanced Shimano technical innovations, the Big Baitrunner XT-A LC is designed for maximum casting distance and enhanced durability. This reel incorporates a range of features to support demanding fishing conditions: - AR-C Spool: A V-shape spool lip ensures line comes off in smaller loops for further and more accurate casting, while minimising the risk of backlash. - Aero Wrap II: This system, combined with 2-speed oscillation, provides close parallel coils and superior line lay for smoother and longer casting. - S-ARB Bearings: High corrosion-resistant A-RB ball bearings are shielded for improved protection and sealed lubrication, contributing to increased durability. - Baitrunner System: A lever on the rear of the reel allows for a controlled free-spool, a standard and beneficial feature for big fish reels, with independent free spool and front drag adjustments. - Dyna Balance: Reduces reel wobble, producing an ultra-smooth performance during retrieve. - Super Stopper II: When the reel is in anti-reverse mode, this feature eliminates free-play on the handle, ensuring positive engagement for precise adjustments and faster hook setting. - Power Roller: Its special design significantly reduces line twist during retrieve, which is particularly advantageous when using thin monofilament and braid lines. - Floating Shaft II: This design reduces friction where the spool drive shaft meets the pinion by incorporating bearings on either side, improving efficiency and longevity. - Cold Forged Aluminium Spool: A long nose, cold forged spool contributes to excellent casting distance. - Machined Aluminium Handle: Provides reliable cranking power. - XT-7 Body Material: Contributes to the reel's overall strength and durability. - Waterproof Drag: Ensures consistent performance even in wet conditions. The Shimano Big Baitrunner XT-A LC offers impressive specifications suitable for a variety of angling disciplines: - Gear Ratio: 4.6:1 - Line Retrieve: 110 cm per crank - Weight: 790 grams (27.87 ounces) - Bearings: 5 S-ARB and 1 Roller Bearing - Maximum Drag Power: Up to 14 kg - Line Capacity (mm/m): 0.30-600, 0.35-550, 0.40-400, 0.45-300 - Line Capacity (lb/yds): 12-600, 16-440, 20-330 This reel is specifically engineered to assist beach anglers and rock anglers in achieving maximum casting distance, making it versatile for live baiting or casting lures from the shore.
