The PENN Squall II Tuna Combo pairs the Squall II 60-130lb 5ft6 roller rod with the Squall SQL50VSW two-speed lever drag multiplier reel, aimed at boat anglers covering drifting and trolling styles. The rod is built on a one-piece tubular glass blank with a solid tip to help prevent breakage, and carries heavy duty 3-leg stainless steel SeaGuide guides with aluminium oxide that keep line management in order when fighting big bluefin tuna. A Pac Bay roller start and tip guide complete the guide train. For comfort under pressure, the rod uses a triangular-shaped EVA foregrip that reduces rotation in the hand, while the machined aluminium reel seat holds the reel securely and the aluminium gimbal adds strength and a secure connection during the fight. The straight-butt model has a slick aluminium butt to prevent damage when the rod sits in a rod holder.
