Description

The Penn Battalion Slow Jig Combo pairs the PENN Battalion Solid Jigging rod with the PENN Spinfisher VII reel, built for slow jigging with control over the jig at every stage. The Battalion Solid Jigging rod uses Solid Spiral Armor technology, with reinforced spiral-shaped fibres in the blank creating a carbon rod with high strength. The high density of carbon keeps sensitivity high, and light Fuji Alconite guides help keep the rod extremely lightweight. Reversed guides lower the risk of line entanglement, and the strong backbone of this light rod keeps you in control rather than the fish. The PENN Spinfisher VII reel features IPX5 sealing, so whether it takes a wave or rides in spray on the way home, saltwater is kept out of the gearbox and drag system. HT-100 drag washers are housed in a fully sealed spool to give the stopping power needed for big saltwater fish. A Full Metal Body and side plate keep the CNC Gear System in precise alignment under heavy loads. The reel is available in standard, Live Liner, Long Cast and Bail-less models.
