Description
The Nash Scope Sawn Off Retract Landing Net is a 42 inch carp landing net built around a fish-retention system. Retractable net arms work alongside a Velcro tab and loop: once a fish is netted, the arms retract and secure to close the mesh around it, letting the carp rest while you prepare carp care kit, photography or a fresh rod. The retractable arms also speed up assembly and pack-down compared with earlier models, and a new aluminium spreader block and reinforced mesh stress points add strength and longevity. The Scope landing nets were developed to replace the popular Dwarf range, carrying over the latest innovations from the wider Scope family. With a total handle length of 6ft, the net is particularly effective for boat fishing, and the handle can stay compact through tight swims and overhanging trees before extending for maximum reach. It is available with either a one-piece telescopic handle (T1967 Retract) or a two-piece Sawn Off handle (T1968 Sawn Off). - Net size: 42 inch - Spreader block: New aluminium construction - Retention system: Retractable arms with Velcro retention tab and loop - Mesh: Reinforced at key stress points - T1967 Retract – packed: 108 x 10 x 10cm - T1967 Retract – weight: 1kg - T1968 Sawn Off – packed: 78 x 12 x 12cm - T1968 Sawn Off – weight: 1.2kg - Max handle length: 188cm (both models) Where it suits: boat fishing, where the full 6ft reach when deployed combines with a compact handle for moving around the boat; stalking and mobile angling, where the compact transport size makes it an easy addition to a light kit; snaggy or overhung swims, where the handle stays short through the trees and extends for reach when netting; and anglers upgrading from a Dwarf net, since it was designed as the replacement with the newer Scope features added. The two models differ mainly in packed size: the T1967 has a one-piece telescopic handle and packs to 108cm, while the T1968 is a two-piece Sawn Off design that packs to 78cm. Both reach 188cm, about 6ft. Practising the retract and secure step at home before using it on the bank is worthwhile — once it is second nature, the retention step takes seconds.
