The Nash Scope OPS Retract Landing Net 42 inch is a 42 inch carp landing net built for anglers who need to travel light and pack down small. Where earlier Scope nets relied on extendable handles to match the compact pack-down size of Scope rods, this generation adds retractable net arms that cut transport length significantly without costing bank-side performance. Its standout feature is a temporary fish-retention system. Once a fish is netted, the handle can be secured to the ground with a Scope Butt Lock Peg (sold separately), the arms retracted and fastened with the integrated Velcro loop to close the mesh around the fish. The carp can rest safely while you prepare your carp care kit, set up for photos or get a rod back out. The short transport size and a handle that locks at any length make it manageable in tight swims and when stalking cramped pegs. It is also a practical option for boat fishing, as a compact net you can deploy quickly and retain a fish in without a separate sling, and for temporary retention while you get organised, resting a fish securely while you prepare mats, cameras or a fresh rod. The Sawn Off Retract packs shorter at 75cm against the Retract's 115cm, and uses a slide-and-twist fitting for faster assembly. The Scope Butt Lock Peg (T1990) is not included and is sold separately. To use the retention system, retract the net arms and fasten them with the integrated Velcro loop, which closes the mesh around the fish.
