Avid React+ Carp Rod

Description

The Avid React+ Carp Rod is a premium 10ft retractable two-piece carp rod that combines compact transportability with serious on-the-bank performance. It is built on a premium 30T high-modulus Toray carbon blank, giving a lightweight, responsive feel with excellent progressive power. The blank stays forgiving through the tip and mid-section while retaining substantial power in the butt section, producing a smooth progressive action that absorbs lunges and reduces hook pulls during the fight. Despite the compact retractable design, it delivers impressive casting accuracy and distance. The rod packs down to 128cm (4ft 2in). It is fitted with a 50mm-16mm PrecisionFlow Anti-Frap guide configuration, optimised for modern carp fishing: the guides allow smooth passage of heavy monofilaments, braided main lines and bulky leader knots, and the oversized tip guide helps combat weed accumulation when playing fish in challenging conditions. A premium matt black 18mm 1K carbon reel seat provides a secure, refined finish, and the handle is Japanese shrink-wrap with a flared butt grip, anodised black fittings and subtle graphics. The Avid React+ is available in three test curves: - 3lb: close-range fishing and forgiving fish-playing action - 3.5lb: the ultimate all-round test curve - 4lb: long-range casting, heavy leads and demanding conditions Total rod weight: - 10ft 3lb: 282g - 10ft 3.5lb: 297g - 10ft 4lb: 309g
