Nash Scope Black OPS GR CG Rod

Description

The Nash Scope Black OPS GR is the highest-specification rod ever to carry the Scope name, refining every element of the concept with the best materials and engineering available. The blank is built from advanced 40T Japanese Toray carbon reinforced with graphene — a material more often found in top-end competition poles — making it lighter, slimmer and stronger than earlier Scope designs, with noticeably faster recovery and less fatigue from repeated flexing. The action is crisper and more precise, and Nash describe it as their best-casting Scope yet. Even at 10ft, their in-house tester Jermaine Hull has put the 3.75lb model out to 200 yards. Components are chosen to match, including an ALPS CWG-AI reel seat with carbon insert, SeaGuide TCDG guides with Adaman coating, a PE knitted handle grip, matte black whippings and a machined metal butt cap that works with Scope Butt Lock Pegs. - Blank: 40T Japanese Toray carbon with graphene reinforcement - Reel seat: ALPS CWG-AI with carbon insert, integrated rubber cushioning and twin machined compression washers - Guides: SeaGuide TCDG with Adaman coating, high stand-off profile, anti-frap tip guide - Handle: PE knitted grip - Details: Matte black whippings and alignment markers, embossed Black OPS branding, 1K carbon line clip - Butt cap: Machined metal, with butt lock cap replacement supplied for Scope Butt Lock Pegs - Ringing – 6ft models: 30mm butt ring to 12mm anti-frap tip ring - Ringing – 9ft and 10ft 3lb: 40mm butt ring to 12mm anti-frap tip ring - Ringing – 9ft and 10ft 3.5lb and 3.75lb: 50mm butt ring to 12mm anti-frap tip ring - Range: 6ft 3lb; 9ft 3lb and 3.5lb; 10ft 3lb, 3.5lb and 3.75lb; plus a 10ft 3.5lb CG version Where it suits the angler: - Mobile and travelling anglers — Scope rods are built around doing more with less, so you get big-rod performance in a compact format. - Long-range casting without a long rod — the 10ft 3.75lb has been tested to 200 yards, so you don't need a 12ft rod to reach the far margin. - Tight swims and stalking — the 6ft model is the pick when overhanging trees or limited space rule out anything longer. - Heavy leads and demanding presentations — the 3.5lb and 3.75lb models carry the larger 50mm butt ring set-up for bigger leads and heavier lines. If you fish with Scope Butt Lock Pegs, swap the standard butt cap for the supplied butt lock cap before your first session so the rod is ready to lock down the moment you set up. What makes the Black OPS GR different from the standard Scope OPS is its 40T Toray carbon blank reinforced with graphene for a lighter, slimmer, faster-recovering blank, along with upgraded components such as the ALPS CWG-AI reel seat and SeaGuide TCDG guides. A butt lock cap replacement is included so the metal butt cap can be swapped for use with Scope Butt Lock Pegs. Nash's in-house tester Jermaine Hull has cast the 10ft 3.75lb model up to 200 yards. The 6ft models run 30mm to 12mm ringing, the 9ft and 10ft 3lb rods run 40mm to 12mm, and the 3.5lb and 3.75lb 9ft and 10ft models run 50mm to 12mm. CG denotes a ceramic guide version, and the 10ft 3.5lb is available in a CG format.
