Garbolino Addiction Feeder Bream Power Rod 12ft

Description

The Garbolino Addiction Feeder Bream Power 12ft is the "Power" version of the Addiction series, built for situations where the shoals sit beyond the reach of standard feeder gear. It suits large inland reservoirs, expansive lochs and powerful rivers, offering the extra leverage to launch heavy feeders long distances while keeping the refined "Bream Action" that helps prevent hook-pulls at the net. The rod is built on slimline IM Carbon blanks in a 2-section design, giving a seamless curve that transitions from a sensitive tip to a backbone capable of handling a big hit. A mixed cork and EVA handle provides a comfortable, non-slip grip, and the rod is finished with a tubular reel seat and an integrated hook keeper. It comes supplied with SUPERFLEX 2.2mm tips, with the power rating clearly indicated on the base for quick identification, and painted tip ends for contrast against broken water so subtle pulls from cautious skimmers are easier to spot. The progressive action is stiff enough to compress during a 60m+ cast yet forgiving enough to protect light hooklengths when a large bream is shaking its head in the margins. Where to use it: - Large reservoirs and lakes: the extra foot of length helps punch through a headwind and reach the distant bream shelf. - Big rivers: the 12ft length helps keep more line off the water, reducing the bow caused by the current when fishing for river bream and hybrids. - Long distance casting: tuned for accuracy and distance with cage, window or heavy method feeders. - High-catch rate venues: the 2-section build offers a superior action compared to 3-piece rods when building a big bag of fish. Specifications: - Length: 12ft (3.60m) - Sections: 2 (enhanced action and power transfer) - Blank material: lightweight high-modulus (IM) carbon - Tips included: additional SUPERFLEX 2.2mm tips - Tip details: painted ends, power rating indicated on base - Handle: premium mixed cork and EVA - Components: tubular reel seat and integrated hook keeper - Storage: supplied in a dedicated canvas case As a long-range tool, the 12ft Power model performs best paired with a reel that has a slightly larger, shallower spool, which reduces the friction of the line hitting the butt guide during the cast. Because it is a 2-section rod it is quite long when broken down, so a 1.90m+ holdall is advisable to keep it fully protected during transport.
