Shimano Ultegra 5500 XSD Reel

Description

Shimano has taken one of the most popular best-selling beach reels of recent years and improved it. The Shimano Ultegra 5500 XSD now features slower oscillation, which provides superior line lay, less friction and ultimately more distance. Another major improvement is the quick drag. With just over a turn, you can adjust the drag from almost free spool to fully tightened. This makes setting up easier, but the main advantage comes when playing larger species, where changing the drag can be the difference between landing and losing a fish. The reel also comes with spool reducers, which remove the need for backing line when using low-diameter mono and braid. This reel can be used on most marks in the UK. It is suited to beach fishing and casting baits to the horizon, and has enough guts and cranking power for mixed to rough ground marks. - X-Ship - Spool reducers - Ratio 5.3:1 - AR-C Spool - Capacity 290M of 0.35mm - Weight 500g - Spare Spool
