The Sunset Belharra Surf is a 4.2m surf rod built for British shore angling, combining the distance of a long-casting rod with the power to handle fish in a surging surf. It suits winter Cod in a Bristol Channel blow as well as summer Rays off steep shingle beaches. The rod uses a powerful tubular tip rather than a spliced-in solid carbon hybrid tip. This gives a stiffer recovery, so the lead stays anchored in the seabed longer and bites are felt through the rod rather than just seen as tip movement in the wind. The blank is constructed from 40T Technifibre carbon, which makes it thinner, lighter and more responsive. It loads instantly on the cast and snaps back into place, adding distance without needing a tournament-style technique.
