Description

The Lew's HyperMag Speed Spool SLP baitcast reel is built around a strong one-piece magnesium frame with lightweight C45 carbon sideplates, keeping the reel light in the hand while staying rigid under load. Its aircraft-grade, double anodized Duralumin U-shape spool is drilled and chamfered, measuring 32mm, and works with a premium 11-bearing system that uses double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus a Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing. Casting control comes from an externally adjustable 4-pin, 27 position SpeedCast adjustable centrifugal braking system, backed up by a double anodized aluminum spool tension knob with an audible click. Inside, hard anodized aluminum alloy Speed Gears are precision cut on Hamai CNC machines, and the rugged carbon fiber drag system provides up to 9.1kg of drag power. The reel is finished with a bowed lightweight 95mm carbon fiber handle and Winn Dri-Tac knobs, a double anodized bowed aluminum drag star with audible click adjustment, and a titanium-coated Zirconia line guide.
