The Daiwa Gore-Tex Trousers are premium waterproof legwear built for the physical demands of fishing. Designed and manufactured in the UK by Halkon Hunt to GORE-TEX standards, they are made to keep you dry and comfortable through long days on the bank or boat. The trousers use GORE-TEX 3-Layer fabric with the ePE membrane, a long-life and environmentally friendly material that makes the garment completely waterproof and windproof while remaining highly breathable. Fabric is placed strategically to cope with the wear and tear that angling puts on a pair of trousers. The material is double-layered in the key high-wear zones: the seating area is reinforced for sitting on hard surfaces, seat boxes or wet ground for long periods, the foreleg and knee area is doubled up to resist abrasion when kneeling to net fish, handle bait or use equipment such as a pole or landing net, and the thigh area has an extra doubled-up section for overall ruggedness. Lighter GORE-TEX 3-Layer fabric is used in less exposed areas, and this mapping keeps the trousers highly breathable, venting excess heat and moisture for all-day comfort without sacrificing weather protection. An elasticated waist provides flexibility and comfort, complemented by a snap lock buckle and strap for quick, precise adjustment over layers of clothing. The hem is engineered around footwear: it is curved higher at the back to prevent you standing on and damaging the cuff, and lower at the front and ankle to cover and protect your footwear from spray and rain run-off.
