The Avet MXL 6/4 G2 is a two-speed lever drag multiplier reel built for anglers who want a compact, powerful reel that can handle heavy loads without adding unnecessary weight. Its frame and internal components are precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminium and stainless steel, then anodised for corrosion resistance and a durable finish. The true one-piece frame keeps the reel rigid while keeping weight down. Drag control comes from a lever drag system with an adjustable strike pre-set, working with Avedrag dry carbon fibre drags that are designed for smooth, consistent stopping power and good wear resistance. A patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system, along with sealed stainless steel ball bearings, keeps everything running smoothly under load. The offset machined handle arm reduces the centreline profile and cuts down on cranking wobble, and the large soft touch handle knob is shaped for comfort during long fights. Switching between the two gear ratios is done by pushing a button at the centre of the handle arm.
