The Akios Airpower 420 GTR is a two-piece, 14ft beachcaster built as a true all-rounder. Akios released the original Airpower RXP in 2018, a three-piece rod that gained a strong following for its casting power and fishing tip, followed by the sliding reel seat RXP SRS. Demand for a two-piece version led to the Airpower GTR, which sets out to cover varied fishing situations: enough power to cast large baits for large fish, yet still capable of flicking out a bunch of ragworm for plaice, with the feel and feedback through the blank to make the most of the fight. The 14ft blank pairs a powerful butt and mid-section with a sensitive glass tip for bite detection.
