Description

The Penn Tidal Elite Hybrid is the flagship of the Penn Tidal surf casting concept, built for anglers who need distance and recovery from a surf rod. The blank combines 50T carbon with a Triaxial Multidirectional Weave Structure, a build developed over years of testing both in the lab and in the field. The result is an extremely light blank with fast recovery, which shows itself in casting distance. The rod is fitted with Fuji Alconite LR-type guides on lightweight stainless steel frames, keeping the tip from becoming weighed down. Two tip options are available: a short tip for sensitivity when bite indication matters at long range, and a longer, stiffer tip suited to rough weather and harsh conditions. A Fuji DPSSD reel seat and an X-Shrink tube handle complete the build, with rubber-coated joints for better grip and alignment dots for lining up the sections.
