The Tenryu Injection SP 79 MH (A905) is a lure rod built for anglers who need to feel delicate takes from smaller fish while still having the power to stop a double. Often overshadowed by its longer 8' 2" cousins, the 79 MH offers a more compact, nimble feel without losing the power the Injection range is known for. Measuring 2.40m (8' 0"), it suits the roving angler switching between steep rocky ledges, cramped estuary banks and open beaches. The blank blends 93% high-modulus carbon with 7% glass fibre. That glass content provides the mechanical resistance needed for high-torque fights while keeping the rod progressive rather than brittle and stiff. The defining characteristic of the SP 79 MH is its ultra-soft tip. This allows the use of finer braided lines and fluorocarbon leaders than you would normally risk on a medium-heavy rod, cushioning the strike so hooks are less likely to tear out of a soft mouth.
