The Century Tip Tornado Graphex Sport is a 13ft 11" beachcaster built for anglers who want to push their casting distance without losing the responsive feel the Tip Tornado range is known for. It is the longest rod in the series, with a substantial power reserve that suits it to long-range work. Built in the UK, it is a slim, lightweight rod that handles heavy leads and large baits while retaining a tip sensitive enough to register bites. The blank uses Century's Graphex resin matrix, which infuses graphene into the carbon to produce a strong, light build with instant recovery — the rod stops vibrating immediately after the cast, helping add distance. The butt section uses a phased composite taper, described as a "gearbox" design that stores energy progressively as the rod loads and releases it in a smooth, controlled burst. Anti-Twist Technology (AT-T) is built into the blank's internal architecture to stop it spiralling or twisting during powerful pendulum or off-the-ground casts, keeping the guides in a straight line so energy goes into the lead rather than into rod torque. It is well matched to deep water channels with strong tidal pull, where 6oz or 7oz grip leads are needed to hold bottom, and to specimen hunting for rays, smoothhounds and winter cod at long range. The extra length helps keep line above the scour and crashing waves when fishing at distance, and the rod performs best under a bit of weight — stepping up to a 6oz or 175g lead loads it deeper into the butt and gives a more stable flight path for the rig.
