Description

The Tronixpro Competition Rock Rod is a super slim, lightweight powerhouse built around a 24mm butt section. It is designed to handle big fish and rough terrain while staying nimble and easy to use, making it less cumbersome than many others in the heavyweight rod category. Power is concentrated in the mid-section, giving the rod a fast, crisp recovery for long-distance casting with bigger weights and baits. Despite its stiffness, the casting action remains smooth and controlled. The rod is ideally suited to mixed to rough ground. Its stiff tip section lets you pile on the pressure when targeting bigger fish, and it sits well in tide and wind, standing up to challenging conditions. The tip still has some give, which helps prevent the lead from springing out on a big tide. It is aimed at anglers fishing cliffs, rock marks and rough ground for species such as cod, tope, conger, smoothhound and large rays. It was field tested in the Bristol Channel and the Northeast of England and built to excel at handling large fish over tough terrain. The Rock 247 is built from a unique mix of 40T and 30T carbon, with an inner 3k carbon cloth weave for extra strength. Japanese shrink tube is fitted on the butt section and either side of the spigot to make the rod easy to take apart.
