The Guru Aventus R Power Distance Feeder Rod is part of the flagship Aventus R range, the successor to the Aventus series. The "R" stands for "Reborn", reflecting a comprehensive redesign in both materials and engineering. The result is a rod built for performance, durability and precision. The Aventus R Feeder range covers modern feeder fishing across eight specialist rods. It begins with 10ft and 11ft two-piece feeder rods, joined by 10ft and 11ft Distance variants for extra power and versatility. A 12ft two-piece model follows, along with a new 12ft three-piece rod, and the range is completed by 13ft and 14ft Distance feeder rods for extreme distance work. All models share a premium specification, including Fuji TVS and DPS Downlocking Reel Seats, Premium Grade Armlock Cork Handles, and Guru Ergonomic EVA Rear Grips. The 10ft and 11ft standard models use Zero90 LT Carbon Quivertips, while the Distance Feeder rods are fitted with the new Aventus DT Quivertips, featuring Fuji KW Anti-Tangle Guides with Alconite Rings for longevity and performance at range. The 10ft and 11ft models have been completely redesigned from the butt section up, with a slimmer, faster taper that makes the blank noticeably lighter and more balanced. They use the new Aventus R Zero90 LT (Light Taper) quivertips, engineered for enhanced bite detection and a seamless blank-to-tip transition. A reduced handle length on both models, paired with a Fuji TVS reel seat, gives a slimmer profile, better balance at the rear of the rod and improved fish playing. These are suited to commercial fisheries, bomb, method feeder and hybrid feeder work when targeting carp and F1s at short to medium range. The 10ft and 11ft Distance Feeder rods are built for versatility, using higher tapered blanks than their standard counterparts. This gives the increased power reserve needed to cover longer distances while keeping a compact length. They also work well at short range where extra power is required, and provide the backbone to control larger double-figure carp without locking up. The 12ft and 13ft Distance Feeder rods have a slightly stiffer, faster action blank than the previous Aventus generation. Zero90X and RJS technologies have been used to improve blank performance by drastically reducing torque, which means more accurate casting at range without compromising the fish-playing action. The progressive curve helps maintain hook-holds even with smaller hooks. A new 12ft 3-piece version has also been added, with a slightly softer tip section than the 12ft 2-piece, making it ideal for delicate presentations when targeting bream, skimmers and quality roach on natural venues. The more forgiving tip action suits smaller hooks, and the 3-piece configuration makes transport and storage easier. Zero90X Carbon Technology is a significant upgrade over the original Zero90 material. It adds a new carbon layer with X-weave fibres positioned between the zero-degree and 90-degree carbon sheets. This composite structure creates a new blank architecture that reduces the twisting and torquing forces that occur during casting. By minimising how much the blank deviates under maximum compression, Zero90X produces a much faster-action blank. The reduction in torque lets the rod tip recover more quickly, helping anglers cast further with more control and accuracy. Because the blank resists twisting, energy transfer is linear and direct, which improves accuracy. RJS (Rigid Joint System) integrates Zero90X material within the Reinforced Ferrule at each joint to maintain structural consistency and power transfer along the whole rod. This creates a seamless, power-progressive blank curve that mimics the feel of a one-piece rod. The main benefit is the elimination of "flat spots" or stiff points at joint connections, preserving fish-playing action and rod integrity under heavy load.
