The Tenryu Spike XPG SKX782S-XX is a rod built for experienced anglers targeting big tuna with lures. It is designed for use with PE 10 or 12 braid, and its regular fast action handles lures from 100 to 230 grams while casting from a safe distance. That action also gives a balance between strength and softness during the fight. Nano-carbon (CNT technology) in the bottom section provides a high power reserve, letting the angler apply authority through the critical phases of a fight. The rod is fitted throughout with Fuji Sic Ocean Guide rings (K series), sized from 16 at the tip up to 40 at the leader ring. The first five rings are triple-ligated to cope with the stresses of heavy fighting. A long butt and handle are paired with a foregrip section on the blank start, giving a secure, high grip.
