The PENN Battalion Solid Deep Drop rod is built for deep drop fishing, designed to give you the upper hand when targeting large fish in deep water. At its core is PENN's Solid Spiral Armor blank technology, which provides power and a smooth bending action while keeping weight to a minimum. This makes the rod well suited to deep drop fishing with PENN Fathom Electric reels. The heavy duty DPS reel seat and the length of the handle are matched to fishing with PENN Fathom Electric reels. Saltwater resistant Seaguide guides are fitted throughout, helping the rod stand up to repeated use in saltwater conditions. The rod is available in straight butt and bent butt options, in two lengths (2.10m and 2.29m), with drop weights varying from 500-1000g to 800-1500g.
