Savage Gear Alpha SG2 Trolling Baitcast Rod

Description

The Savage Gear Alpha SG2 Trolling BC is a baitcasting rod built specifically for big bait trolling, particularly when using planer boards. It pairs substantial power with a distinctive action intended to cope with the demands of this style of fishing and to fight large, powerful fish. The rod is built on a 24+30T high modulus carbon blank with a moderate-fast action. That action is designed to handle the strain of trolling big baits and to soak up the effects of waves, which helps prevent a side planer being triggered accidentally. On the strike, the progressive action bends smoothly to absorb runs and head shakes, reducing the risk of hook pulls or line breaks. The rod also works well for presenting big baits without a planer board. Angler comfort and control are central to the design, with a full rear handle and a long front handle giving a secure grip for both fighting fish and managing the trolling setup. It is fitted with SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN rings for smooth line flow and durability, along with a double-lock reel seat for a strong, stable connection. A Competition Ready-To-Fish rod bag is included for protection and transport. - Model: Savage Gear Alpha SG2 Trolling BC - Length: 2.69m (8'10") - Casting Weight: 110-250g - Action: Moderate-Fast - Pieces: 2 - Blank Material: 24+30T High Modulus Carbon - Guides: SeaGuide CCS Stainless Steel with SiN Rings - Reel Seat: Double Lock - Included: Competition Ready-To-Fish Rod Bag
