It follows Daiwa's Light and Tough (LT) concept, pairing a compact 3000-size body with a fast gear ratio. In the model name, the X denotes the quality build, the C a compact body, and the XH extra high speed, making it suited to reactive lure fishing on rivers, lakes and canals. The 6.2:1 gear ratio retrieves around 93 cm of line per turn of the handle. That speed matters when vertical jigging for zander, where quick take-up lets you follow depth changes and keep tension as a fish follows the lure up.
