The Century Kompressor WR 300 Rod is a 13' 3" sea-angling rod built around a notable casting pedigree. It earned its name after achieving a new UKSF and World Record cast at Huntingdon, England in May 2002, using a 150g (5.25 oz) weight to reach 301.43 yards – the first rod ever to cast over 300 yards at a UKSF Grand Prix. That feat was made possible through Autoclave Technology, Gearbox Design, and the work of Danny Moeskops. The tournament casting style behind this record is not far removed from practical sea fishing, so the rod is designed as a true fishing tool rather than a competition-only piece. The Gearbox design provides control during the compression stage of the cast and delivers feel on the retrieve through dense kelp and over rough ground, even when using heavier lines for tough conditions.
